| Multimedia Websites | Technology Lessons Each student will have an opportunity to participate in each module. Students will be assigned to a module and willwork in it for 3 weeks and then will switch to the next module on the list. Some of the modules are on the computer (computer technology) and some are not (industrial technology). |

Module 1 5-8 |
Human Interest Story |
Write a human interest story. Narrative with a beginning, middle and an end. Questions must be written out and approved after you locate a person with a story to tell. No classmates or siblings please. |

| Audio Communications | Students write a script for a 10 minute radio program. On this script they must include two news stories, one weather report, one sports report and one commercial. Students then record this script on the computer using Audacity Audio Recorder | |||
Module 2 1-4 |
Photography |
Go to the the Digital Photography 101 web site and do the lessons from the web site. Then download the Picture Editing folder from the inbox and practice editing the pictures in iPhoto. Remember what makes a good picture. Computer 4 - Take pictures of all of the school functions for the school newsapaper. |

| Photography Plus |
Take a series of 5-10 picture that tell a story and put the pictures in Powerpoint. Do your pictures tell a story without using words? Take pictures using the props at the display table. Arrange the pictures and take the best shot you can. Then download the pictures and edit them. Remember the rule of thirds and point of view when taking the pictures. Add a mat to your picture and practice using the print settings. |

Newspaper Layout/Design |
Create
a one page newspaper layout in Microsoft Powerpoint. Page should include
2 pictures, 3 articles, 2 clip art, and use the Drawing toolbar to decorate
your page. |

Module 4 9-12 |
Electricity and Circuits |
Students are introduced to the basic concept of an electrical circuit. Simple ciricuts are constructed, and the concept of the flow of electricity is introduced. Students investigate different materials to determine if they are conductors or insulators. Lesson plans and directions are in the binder. |

Module 5 22-24 |
Newspaper Reporters |
Students will write articles for the school newspape, interview teachers and students, and other newspaper duties. Please follow the directions to format the page correctly. |

Module 6 17-21 |
Woodworking |
Students will work on a variety of simple wood working projects using craft sticks, clamps, paint, decorations, and a saw. The projects will change from month to month. |

| Garageband | Create a 45 second song in Garageband. Students will be given one of the following themes, Spooky, Country, or Dramatic. | |||
